UK utility SSE – the group planning or building some of the world’s largest offshore wind projects – said no decision has been made on splitting its business in two.
SSE in a stock exchange notice on Monday said “there has been no decision to break up the SSE group” after media reports claimed a separation is imminent of its renewables business from its wholesale and networks operation, under pressure from a Wall Street activist investor.
