The UK offshore wind supply chain received a boost to its prospects of keeping major component work local after shipyard group Harland & Wolff (H&W) linked with Spain's Navantia and Windar, whose long-time partnership has supplied some of the biggest developments in the sector.

H&W parent group InfraStrata has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Spanish duo to jointly target fixed and floating offshore wind projects, primarily within the UK, as they emphasised “a special interest in floating solutions”.
