Spanish oil & gas group Cepsa laid out plans to become a leading regional green hydrogen producer and develop a 7GW wind and solar portfolio as part of a new energy transition strategy.

Cepsa aims to have 2GW of renewable hydrogen production up and running by 2030 by when it claimed it can be “a key player in the import and export of this energy between Europe, Africa and the Middle East thanks to the strategic location of its facilities on the Iberian Peninsula”.
