A proposed revenue cap for low carbon energy generators will be set at a level that still maintains incentives to invest in renewables, European Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson said after an emergency meeting among EU energy ministers.

The ministers Friday couldn’t immediately agree on a set of measures proposed earlier this week by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to shield households and businesses off sky-high energy prices in the wake of Russian curtailment, and asked the commission to come up with more substantiated proposals next week.
