'Promising growth market': RWE teams up with Greek partner to develop massive solar pipeline

RWE has formed a joint venture with the renewables unit of Greek state-owned power provider PPC with an initial focus to develop large-scale solar projects of up to 2GW in the country.

RWE Renewables will own 51% in the JV, while PPC will hold the remaining 49%.

“Greece is a promising growth market for us, with its high solar energy levels and clear commitment to renewables,” said Katja Wünschel, chief operating officer onshore and PV Europe and Asia-Pacific at RWE Renewables.
