Germany plans to buy all or a majority stake in the German unit of Dutch transmission system operator (TSO) TenneT to help efforts to accelerate the country’s energy transition, the Reuters news agency and local media outlets reported.
TenneT is owned by the Dutch state, and is in charge of building several gigawatts of North Sea offshore wind transmission links.
