The government of Chancellor Angela Merkel plans a steep hike of its 2030 onshore wind and solar power capacity targets, according to draft legislation seen by Recharge.
As part of the proposal called ‘climate protection emergency programme 2022’, Germany would target to boost its cumulated installed onshore wind capacity to 95GW and its solar capacity to 150GW, up from 54.9GW
