CEO Mads Nipper said Orsted should not be judged on the “brag-a-watts” of installed capacity as a measure of success, after the Danish group set out new ambitions to become “the world’s leading green energy major” by 2030.

Orsted on Wednesday announced plans to invest around $57bn out to 2027 to meet increased targets that include a headline 50GW of installed capacity by the end of the decade, up from 12GW now.
