A unit of BlackRock, the world's largest asset manager, has acquired early-stage wind and solar developer National Renewable Solutions (NRS) with the goal of “developing, owning, and operating” its more than 3.5GW project development pipeline in four western US states.
BlackRock Real Assets said it now owns 100% of the equity of Minnesota-based NRS but did not disclose financial terms of the transaction.
