Renewable energy developer Invenergy has started commercial operations at the giant Traverse Wind Energy Center in the US state of Oklahoma, adding 998MW to the largest sector project ever built in a single phase in North America.

Traverse joins the 287MW Maverick and 199MW Sundance developments built using GE Renewables turbines by the Chicago-based company as part of the so-called North Central Energy Facilities (NCEF) complex for partner American Electric Power (AEP).
