Artificial intelligence and data centres will be key drivers of “booming” demand for electrification and Iberdrola is looking at how to maximise the opportunities they bring for growth, according to the Spanish green giant’s executive chair Ignacio Galán.
Iberdrola is already active in these sectors, stressed Galán, but said it nevertheless remains a “very interesting angle to catalyse this new electricity demand.”
