Floating wind pioneer Hexicon has inked a lead-off agreement with Ireland’s Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation (KFO) and Sinbad Marine Services for a 2GW project in the North Atlantic that is designed to shape a new model for development of offshore power plant in the future ‘blue economy’.

The memorandum of understanding (MOU) will see KFO and Sinbad involved in making key decisions “including site selection, cable routing, and land fall” for the giant wind farm, to be located in 150-350 metres ow water some 50km off the coast of country Donegal.
