Germany is finally reaping the benefit of its steadily growing renewable energy capacity as declining costs for green power next year are likely to compensate for soaring fossil energy prices, leaving the country in a more comfortable position than some of its European neighbours.
Led by onshore wind and PV power, renewables during the first nine months of this year accounted for 43% of Germany’s electricity consumption.
