Amazon will buy a large chunk of the power from what is said to be Canada’s biggest solar farm so far as part of a clutch of new renewable energy deals announced by the web shopping giant.
Amazon signed an agreement for the majority of output from the C$700m ($570m), 691MW (dc) Travers Solar plant in Canada’s oil sands capital Alberta and other projects underway in the US, Finland and Spain.
