Spanish developer Acciona has started construction of the 317MW Fort Bend solar array in Texas, its first PV project in the US where it aims to add more than 1.2GW of module capacity by the end of 2023.
Acciona Energia, the group's renewables unit, will invest $280m in the Fort Bend facility located outside Houston, the state’s largest city. Full commercial start is targeted for 2022.
