Ence, which makes a variety of pulp-based and solid wood products, has grown its electricity generation business in recent years by attaching biomass plants to its mills in Huelva, Pontevedra and Navia.
The €100m ($133.9m) Huelva extension will grow that plant’s capacity from 68MW to 118MW, making it the largest biomass power station in Spain, and one of the largest in Europe.
