REG completed the all-stock acquisitions of a 30 million gallon per year (MGY) refinery in Newton, Iowa, owned by Central Iowa Energy, and the 45 MGY Danville, Illinois, refinery owned by Blackhawk Biofuels. The plans were announced last spring.
The ownership of the two selling companies – who voted to approve the transaction in late February – join current REG investors in owning the consolidated company which now has wholly-owned manufacturing capacity of 122 MGY.
