The 1.6-hectare waste-to-energy plant is the first of its kind in Singapore from a local company.
“Singapore has succeeded in putting in place an efficient waste management system which does not make excessive use of land, and does not compromise the quality of our environment,” says Singapore’s deputy prime minister Teo Chee Hean.
Keppel Integrated Engineering (KIE), through its wholly-owned subsidiary Keppel Seghers Engineering Singapore, designed and built the incineration plant with combustion grate and flue gas cleaning technologies.
