GDF Suez revs biomass ambitions with 190MW Polish plant

France’s GDF Suez has signed a construction contract for what it claims will be the world’s largest biomass power station, in the form of a 190-megawatt (MW) add-on to its existing 1.8-gigawatt (GW) coal-fired plant in southern Poland.
