With 44 sites currently under management, agri.capital intends to have approximately 100 additional sites in operation by 2011 increasing installed capacity up to 115 megawatts (MW).
Established in 2004, agri.capital develops, owns and operates biogas to power and biomethane to pipeline operations in Germany and Austria. It currently has a portfolio of 32MW of installed capacity.
The funding round was led by TCW Group and also included previous investors London hedge fund manager Altima Partners, New York private investment firm Green Partners, New York asset management firm Halcyon and London-based Ludgate Environmental Fund.
