The 9,600-tonne load was made by Korean firm MH Bio-Energy and will be used as transport fuel in Europe, the Phnom Penh Post reported.
MH Bio-Energy was established with $30m in Korean investment, and includes a factory in Kandal province, near Cambodia’s capital Phnom Penh.
The ethanol is refined from dried tapioca, and is supplied both by the firm’s own fields and those of local farmers, the report said.
