The $200m Piedra Larga farm will supply 65 plants and operation centres should come on line by the end of 2011. It will be located in Unión Hidalgo, in Oaxaca state, where the great majority of wind power in Mexico is coming on line.
Mexico has a goal of generating 35% of its electricity with clean energies by 2024.
Grupo Bimbo, a bakery group, has 99 plants in 17 American and Asian countries.
