Omega is owned by the private equity firms Tarpon Investimentos and Warburg Pincus. Ecopart is part of Ecopart Investimentos S/A, and Ecopart Assessoria em Negócios Empresariais Ltda. Ecopart recently completed a 28MW wind farm in Rio de Janeiro state.
Omega has acquired 270MW worth of small hydro power, with projects at various stages of development, from initial inventory studies to those in the final steps of obtaining environmental licenses.
