As part of that winning bid at an auction of certain VeraSun assets in October, Valero will also obtain ethanol plants in Albert City, Iowa, and Albion, Nebraska. VeraSun says the closing on those facilities will occur in the coming weeks.
Valero, the largest petroleum refiner and marketer in North America, is grouping the plants under a subsidiary, Valero Renewable Fuels.
