The national energy company Energía Argentina (Enarsa) received 1.4-gigawatts (GW) worth of proposals for 15-year contracts in December.
Of these projects with a total capacity of 1.2GW were wind farms located throughout the country; while plans for 155 megawatts (MW) of biofuel thermoelectric power; 54MW of biomass; 14MW of biogas; 22MW of photovoltaic solar; and 10MW of small hydro were also lodged.
