Two years ago, when Recharge first took a hard look at the world-changing potential of clean hydrogen, it was a little-discussed topic on the fringes of the energy transition debate. Now it is front and centre.

“Achieving the energy transition in the EU will require hydrogen at large scale. Without it, the EU would miss its decarbonisation objective,” said a recent European Commission report, adding that 24% of the bloc’s total energy use will come from hydrogen by 2050.
