Acciona Energía USA Global will invest about $200MW to build the 145MW Palmas Altas wind farm in far south Texas near the border with Mexico, which will utilize 46 Nordex AW125/3150 model turbines.
Acciona will also own and operate the project that is due to come online in November 2019. Palmas Altas is located near the company’s 93MW San Roman wind farm that began operation in 2016.
