The US Department of Energy (DoE) warned that the burgeoning US wind energy sector is likely to face significant worker shortages in the coming decades unless outreach and training actions are taken soon, according to its revised National Wind Energy Workforce Assessment released Tuesday.
DoE's National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) forecasted onshore and offshore wind labour requirements are set to boom, reaching 258,000 by 2030.
