Russian metals group EN+ is mulling the construction of a gigascale wind farm in the far-eastern region of Amur, and could tap Chinese companies for a factory that could churn out 6MW turbines.
The planned 1GW wind farm in the region bordering China (see map at foot) would involve an investment of some 60bn roubles ($659m), Russia’s Far East and Arctic Development Corporation said last week.
