President Barack Obama on Monday will assert US leadership against climate change by adopting the final version of an ambitious and controversial plan to transform the nation’s power sector – the largest source of heat-trapping greenhouse gases - away from coal toward cleaner and renewable energy.
Germany's energy ministry has produced a draft paper for the introduction of tenders in most renewable technologies from 2017 onwards, which are slated to cover more than 80% of power generated by all new wind and solar projects.
