Denmark’s 400MW Anholt offshore wind farm is fully powered following the grid-connection of the last of its 111 turbines, said developer Dong Energy.

Although final commissioning work will continue during the summer, the powering up of the final 3.6MW Siemens turbine means the end is in sight for Denmark’s largest offshore wind project so far.

Turbine installation ended in May after a schedule that aimed to set new benchmarks for how quickly an offshore wind farm could be built.
