Alstom
has
been
struggling
to
install
the
foundation
for
the
turbine
because
of
very
bad
weather
conditions,
and
will
not
now
be
able
to
use
Swire
Pacific
Offshore
Operations’
Pacific
Orca
vessel
again
until
late
March.
The
Pacific
Orca
is
the
largest
wind
farm
installation
vessel
yet
built,
measuring
161-metres
long
and
49-metres
wide,
with
a
draught
of
10.4-metres
and
six
jack-up
legs.
Alstom
had
originally
intended
to
install
the
Haliade
turbine
by
the
end
of
2012,
but
there
have
been
a
series
of
delays
related
to
the
weather
and
other
issues.
