TenneT
belongs
to
the
Dutch
state
and
is
responsible
for
the
high-voltage
power
transmission
grid
in
large
parts
of
Germany,
as
well
as
North
Sea
offshore
connections.
The
company
says
it
has
committed
almost
€6bn
($8.19bn)
to
German
offshore
grid
infrastructure,
but
can’t
sustain
the
big
investments
needed
alone.
In
mid-January,
Japanese
group
Mitsubishi
Corporation
(MC)
sealed
two
deals
with
TenneT
to
buy
into
German
offshore
wind
grid-connections,
with
a
total
investment
of
€576m.
But
after
a
meeting
with
his
Dutch
counterpart
Henk
Kamp,
Rösler
said
more
is
needed.
