report
forecasts
offshore
wind
power

grow
from
a
total
installed
capacity
of
5.1GW
last
year
to
54.9GW
by
2020
–
a
better
than
ten-fold
increase,
and
representing
a
compound
annual
growth
rate
of
34.5%.
The
UK’s
prime
mover
status
is
expected
to
be
reinforced
during
this
period,
building
on
the
2.7GW
of
new
turbines
erected
in
its
offshore
region
last
year

than
half
of
the
new
global
installed
capacity.
