EDF ER said: “The decision has been taken to so that engineers can carry out investigations on housings for equipment located inside the base of the turbine towers. This does not involve the foundations or the main structure of the turbines.”

Teesside Offshore Wind plant manager Mark Halliday added: “The safety of our people is our highest priority.
