AMEP workedtogether with the Humber Local Enterprise Partnerships and North Lincolnshire Council to secure the grant andsuccessfully outbid 12 other LEPs.
The £450m, 367-hectare energy park site in northeast England,sitting across the Humber from the Alexandra Dock site where Siemens is contemplating building a factory for its6MW offshore wind turbine, was granted planningpermission on December 18.
The AMEP project is expected to create 4,100 direct jobs and 1,250construction jobs during the process.
