An official at utility EWE told Recharge that the commissioning of the park’s 30 wind turbines willcommence on 4 February. The utility owns 90% of Riffgat, with developerEnova Energiesysteme holding the remaining 10%.

TenneT in September had said it had cleared 30 tonnes ofexplosive munitions from World War 2 debris from a final stretch of a submarinecable route, including grenades and boxes of ammunition that had delayed thecommissioning of the wind farm.
