The project involves supply, installation and commissioning of a High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) 320kV extruded submarine and land power bipole connection, plus an associated fibre-optic cable system, comprising 29km on land and a subsea link of 130km.
The power link will run from the land at Emden Ost in Lower Saxony to the converter platform, approximately 120km offshore
Cable laying will be performed using the newly upgraded Cable Enterprise DP 2 vessel.
