Dong's Sykes to co-chair UK OWIC

Sykes – Dong Energy Wind Power’s UK country manager – will servealongside UK business and energy minister Michael Fallon, who announced the appointment and is the otherco-chair of the government-industry partnership body.

Sykes replaces ScottishPower chief corporate officer KeithAnderson, an OWIC co-chair since 2010 who will remain a member of the group.

OWIC’s remit includes delivering the UK’s Offshore WindIndustrial Strategy, and help meet the ambitious cost-reduction targets the governmentwants to see the sector achieve by 2020.
