The joint venture, called Umweltuntersuchung NördlichBorkum, or UMBO, will conduct a seven-year-long research project in a 4,300square kilometre area in which all three companies are planning,developing or building offshore wind projects that require environmental impactstudies before and during construction as well as during operation.
