K2 is developing the wind farm on behalf of financial investment firm Highland Group Holding, which bought the project from now-insolvent German developer Windreich in late 2012.
Suppliers have been pre-qualified and the project is now ready to send out an invitation to tender, K2 said.
"We have seen a great interest from suppliers in realising the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm project, and we are looking forward to receive some interesting offers," says Peter Steinfeld, managing director of K2 Management Germany and project director of Deutsche Bucht.
