The German utility submitted a consent application in April 2013 for the project off the Sussex coast, using a maximum 175 turbines.
UK energy secretary Ed Davey said of the Round 3 project: “This project is great news for Sussex, providing green jobs as well as driving business opportunities right across the country in a sector with a clear roadmap for long-term growth.”
