The first of 73 Vestas machines were sited off eastern England this week.
E.ON said turbine installation began ahead of schedule, with 61 foundations already in place and cable work also started.
The wind farm’s O&M base was officially opened today by UK local government secretary Eric Pickles.
The project is due to be completed next year.
