Belfast Harbour formally handed over the £50m ($77.7m) facility – the first purpose-built offshore wind hub in the UK and Ireland – in a ceremony attended by Northern Ireland’s First and Deputy-First ministers.
The terminal has already started handling components for the 389MW West of Duddon Sands, and the first Siemens 3.6MW turbines are expected to leave for the project site this summer.
