The Swedish utility recently said that if consent weregranted, it would start construction on the extension in 2015.
UK energy secretary Ed Daveysaid today: “As well as providing large amounts of clean energy,offshore wind will support jobs and generate major investment up and down thecountry.
“Vattenfall’s decision to extend an existing project reflects the ongoingattractiveness of the UK as a place to do business in renewable energy.”
