The company now has half of the turbines in operation and has erected 72 foundations at the wind farm, 100km north of the island of Borkum, it said.
“Despite the daily challenges as pioneer of the German offshore wind industry, we are within the installation plan laid out in 2011, and continue to be convinced that by the end of 2013/beginning of 2014 we will have all 80 turbines connected to the grid,” Michael Baur, CEO of Bard said.
