SK Engineering & Construction (SK E&C) and a division of national utility Kepco will seek approval to site 28 7MW turbines 2.5km off the city of Ulsan, confirms a SK E&C spokesman.
The partners will submit plans for the wind farm to Ulsan’s authorities within the next few weeks.
They hope to start construction in 2015 and begin operations in 2017, at a project cost of up to 800bn won ($720m).
