The European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre (EOWDC) in Aberdeen Bay will provide a test bed for 11 turbines intended for use in UK Round 3 projects.
The EOWDC is being developed by Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm (AOWF), a joint venture between Swedish utility Vattenfall, private-public partnership Aberdeen Renewable Energy Group, and contractor Technip Offshore Wind.
It has been the subject of a virulent, high-profile campaign by Trump, who claims the development will ruin the view from his luxury golf resort.
