The worker for a sub-contractor of TenneT was hurt amid high seas on the evening of April 16, a TenneT spokeswoman said. His injuries are serious but not believed to be life-threatening.
TenneT has informed the German authorities and is investigating the cause of the accident.
Neither Tennet nor Siemens, which is building the HelWin1 connection for the TSO, had more to add.
