Port operator Able UK wants to build the Able Marine Energy Park on 320 hectares on the southern bank of the Humber Estuary.
A planning decision was due from the UK government by the end of this week, but the deadline has now been extended to 24 July.
The UK transport minister said this was to allow more time for negotiations with The Crown Estate over a river bed lease, adding that the extension was “without prejudice” to a decision on development consent.
